Did Katrina Kaif & Neetu Kapoor Time Their Entries To Avoid An Unpleasant Face-Off?
Katrina Kaif and Neetu Kapoor were on the guest list of a brand launch recently, but were seen on-stage hours apart. Did they plan their entries?
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor may be going strong, but
the actor’s ex-girlfriend, Katrina Kaif, prefers to maintain a distance from
the Kapoor clan, especially Neetu Kapoor. Else, what would explain the actress
avoiding Ranbir’s mother twice in a matter of 2 months? SpotboyE.com has
it that Kat and Neetu were on the guest list of Shweta Bachchan and Monisha
Jaising’s fashion label, MXS’s launch on September 1. However, the actress’
team ensured that she strategically times her entry at the event to avoid an awkward
face-off with Ranbir's mother.
Says a source, “Since Shweta Bachchan is married in the
Nanda family, Katrina was well aware that the event would have a substantial
presence of Kapoor Khandaan. Hence, her team called for the guest list along
with their time of arrival and planned Katrina’s entry accordingly.”
Adds the source, “Katrina had decided to make an appearance with sister, Isabelle Kaif, at the store launch. Hence, the sister duo came in a long time after Neetu Kapoor entered the event. It was too stark to ignore.”
In June, Ms Kaif had avoided another awkward encounter with Ranbir’s mother. The ladies would have come face-to-face had the actress not seen her in the nick of time and got back to the sports bar where she was rehearsing for the Dabangg Tour. Ms Kapoor was lunching with her friends Reema Jain and Varun Dhawan’s mom Laali Dhawan in the same building. Well, ways of the industry!
